Spring in upstate New York brings lots of water, grey over cast sky's, a fogy mist rising from the forest floor and hints of sunshine that cut through at the most random moments. This is Waterfall engagement season and what better place to shoot an engagement session, then in the Gorges and Glen's of the southern Finger Lakes Region. Early mornings can be a photographers dream and with the right subjects we make it our goal to capture the magic.
Ashley and Jesse, are fun, free spirited and full of life. They really brought the love to this session with there big adventurous personalities. We absolutely love it, when our subjects are just as willing to go out on a lim to get the shot, as we are.
Buttermilk Falls State Park, lies in a crack at the southern most tip of Cayuga Lake, just a few miles from Cornel University and Ithaca Collage. Photographers come from around the world to Photograph this place, but with large summer crowds and lots of contrast in the shadows, photographing this spot can pose a bit of a challenge. We are Wedding Photographers mostly, but we love to incorporate technical Landscape Photography with the magic of love in portraiture, and the results you can see below. Enjoy!
